Air Conditioner

Air Conditioner or A/C

Air conditioners are a common appliance used in homes to help keep temperatures cool and comfortable during warmer months. They are also commonly used in businesses to regulate air temperature and/or humidity. An air conditioner works by conditioning air through a process of cooling, dehumidifying, and filtering by using an evaporator coil, compressor, and condenser. The cooled air is then released directly into the area or space being cooled or the air is redistributed to other areas in the building.

Air Conditioners systems can be installed into various types of buildings, such as residential homes, office buildings, warehouses, hospitals, and shopping malls. Generally, the system will include an indoor unit, which consists of the evaporator coil and filter, and an outdoor unit which contains the compressor and condenser coils. An air conditioning system also often require ductwork, a thermostat and a blower to push the cooled air through the building.

When sizing an air conditioning system, you must take into account the size of the structure, the occupancy, the number of windows and the climate. It is important to use a professional HVAC technician to properly size your system, as the size of your system will affect the efficiency and the performance.

In general, an air conditioning system is designed to maintain comfortable temperatures indoors, while controlling humidity levels and filtering the air. It is important to have your air conditioner maintained regularly, as this will increase the efficiency and help reduce energy costs. Regular maintenance should include cleaning or changing of the air filter, replacing the air conditioners coils, etc.

Additionally, if your air conditioner is not functioning correctly, you should call a professional technicians to come and assess the problem.
